Steps in understanding mathematics: book 2
Steps in Understanding Mathematics (SUM) is a five book mathematics course designed to parallel the Understanding Mathematics series. Together UM and SUM provide a major teaching and learning resource throughout Key Stage 3 and 4 of the National Curriculum, for all pupils who will enter GCSE at any level.
Book 2 is presented in 24 chapters that include discussion topics and many examples to reinforce essential mathematical techniques and processes. Open-ended questions at the end of each exercise, additional longer practical projects and assignments facilitate coursework tasks. Chapter summaries and a glossary are included for study and revision.
