Different Picture - Same Story

This activity is produced by the Maths Magic project. Different Picture – Same Story provides examples and ideas for interpreting statistical diagrams and asks the question ‘Why do we need lots of different ways to communicate the same information?’.

The teaching plan uses the resources from the Standards Unit Interpreting Bar Charts, Pie Charts, Box and Whisker Plots which is available from the eLibrary

The activity looks at different features of the distributions of the data. The teacher notes include teaching tips and how the resources could be adapted.
