Practice Book 1b
These materials, produced by the Centre for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching (CIMT) for the primary extension of the Mathematics Enhancement Programme, include the pages from Practice Book 1b, with detailed lesson plans and all necessary resources to accompany them. It follows on from Practice Book 1a.
The lessons introduce students to Roman numerals and they learn number bonds up to 20, as well as using inequality signs and writing simple equations using algebra. They build shapes with cubes, to develop spatial awareness, identify circles, squares and triangles and learn to read the time on an analogue clock.
There are daily lesson plans covering weeks 17 to 35 and each plan is complete with teacher and student activities, together with key questions and references to the pages in the practice book.
