Number Maps

Number One Map and Number Two Map provide a variety of examples of words in everyday use which relate to the number one or the number two.

Addition Strategies

Reordering numbers explores how lists of numbers need not be added in order, but pairs of numbers which add up to ten can be added first. Compensation considers adding 9 by adding 10 and subtracting 1. In each case students are provided with examples and a number of questions to try for themselves.

Numeracy Assessment

Numeracy assessment requires students to complete a multiplication table, answer questions relating to time and money, write numbers in words, order numbers and round numbers.
