Science for Special Needs

A series of strategies with photocopiable sheets to help teach Key Stage 3 science in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is presented in this text, and S1 and S2 environmental studies in Scotland, to students with special needs.

The book offers strategies across the curriculum. These include games, puzzles, sorting, observing, selecting and deciding, matching and model making. The strategies can be adapted to meet the needs of individual students or groups, and can help those with low self-esteem or short concentration spans to experience success.
