The Coke Fountain
In this demonstration from whynotchemeng, Diet Coke and Mentos mints are used to create coke fountains. The small pits on the surface of the Mentos create many nucleation sites for bubbles to form. This experiment is very messy and so it is best to perform it outside the classroom. A rolled up piece of paper can be used to insert the Mentos as a cheap alternative.
