Invite only training for advisors wishing to work with school networks on the new STEM Impact Fund.


Summary

The STEM Impact fund is STEM Learning’s latest school-led Network, funded by industry and aims to address the need to ensure great STEM teaching whilst demonstrating impact, with a focus on longer-term support.The programme specifically targets location-based schools determined by the funders; these schools will form part of a network of individual schools with funded support from the same industry funder. The Advisor’s role is to understand the schools need, support action planning for the school that aligns with the funder’s goals and will give demonstratable, measurable impact for the whole school community.

Outcomes

Following completion of the course you will: 

  • Understand the purpose and structure of the STEM Impact Fund (SIF)
  • Recognise its goals, funding sources, and strategic focus on impact and sustainability.
  • Identify and articulate the expected impacts of SIF intervention
  • Support schools in strategic planning and implementation and guide schools in developing action plans.
  • Align CPD, enrichment, and careers guidance with school priorities and benchmark outcomes.
  • Facilitate access to high-quality CPD and enrichment opportunities
  • Monitor and evaluate progress and impact
  • Understand barriers to STEM engagement and how to address them
  • Engage with school leadership and governance effectively
  • Use data and strategic documents (e.g. Ofsted reports, curriculum plans) to inform support.
  • Promote teacher retention and recruitment through CPD
  • Advocate for CPD as a tool for improving teaching quality and staff wellbeing.
  • Use evaluation tools to capture sustained impact
