Summary

This intensive Subject Knowledge for Physics Teaching course for non-specialists covers three modules; Electricity, Forces and Energy.

Upskill your subject knowledge and pedagogy, building the tools to be a confident teacher of physics. Cover all KS3 and KS4 content including required practicals.

Complete the course to gain 3 SKPT modules and a Subject Knowledge Award in each topic accredited by the Institute of Physics.

The course will include:

  • 4 full days in-person
  • 3 x 1.5hr remote webinars
  • Supported online study of up to 30 hours, including activities, videos and quizzes.

Eligibility: This course is only available for qualified teachers employed in English state-maintained schools who do NOT have a physics ITT qualification. This course is for biology, chemistry, science or any other teachers teaching physics at KS3 and/or KS4 outside of their specialist field.

Trainee teachers and technicians are NOT eligible to access this course.

Qualified teachers in England who do NOT have a physics ITT qualification.

The SKPT blended learning CPD will:
