Summary
This course will introduce you to pilot work on a project to look at developing a curriculum map for different special needs settings across scientific enquiry skills. You will consider how to adapt this work to your setting and be able discuss ideas and thoughts with others; also gaining a sound understanding of the skills themselves and how they can be assessed.

Teachers from special needs settings up to the age of 14 years.
What topics are covered?
You will be introduced to the science enquiry river that has been trialled by special schools as they seek to include and develop science enquiry in a range of specialist settings.

This course is delivered virtually using MS teams

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
• To understand what science enquiry looks like across range of settings from PMLD, ASD to SEMH
• To have the criteria to assess science enquiry from 24 months to 14 years
• To have an overview of the key science enquiry skills
